
The VCU Jazz group inside the Department of Music is proud to welcome trombonist Matt Niess to dual workshops, both of which are free to the public.
Since 1988 Matt Niess has served with The U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble based in Washington, D.C., performing with a number of noted luminaries in the jazz world. In addition, he is the founder and director of The Capitol Bones, a jazz trombone ensemble that has received national recognition and was the winner of the 1991 International Trombone Association Kai Winding Award.
The clinics are free and open to the public.
